Concord Company History:
The Concord Watch Company SA was founded in 1908 in Biel, Switzerland. The company wanted to produce high quality watches, particularly for the American market. One of their first innovations was the Concord Ring Clock, the first eight day winding travel alarm clock. President Truman even gave some as presents to Stalin and Churchill after the Potsdam peace conference. In 1969, Gedalio Grinberg bought the Concord Watch Company and incorporated it into the North American Watch Corporation which is now known as the Movado Group, Inc. The company became well-known for their flat and thin analog watches which began the new trend for thin, elegant watches. Perhaps their most well-known model is the Delirium, measuring 1.98mm and even less than 1mm for their Delirium IV. In 1986, they came out with their Saratoga collection, which blended a sporty design with elegance. In 2008 they came out with their new C1 collection for their 100th anniversary. The company has said this collection defines the new Concord profile as sophisticated, distinguished, and state-of-the-art. The initial production run was 1,200 and can increase up to 2,000, but they want to stay exclusive with minimal production. Many people consider pre-owned Concord watches, used Concord watches & second hand Concord watches all the same, but a Gray & Sons Concord watch is something different altogether. All our watches are serviced and polished to like new condition and come with our twelve month warranty and Like New for Life policy. Our after sales service commitment is second to none in the world, backed by our six in house Swiss-trained watchmakers and jewelers.
