Gerard Perregaux Company History:

Girard Perregaux boasts more than two hundred years of watch making history, starting in 1791 when 19 year old Jean Francois Bautte created his first timepieces and established a factory in Geneva. It wasn't until 1856, after the marriage of Constant Girard and Marie Perregaux, that the company known as Girard Perregaux was born. The company is well known as a fine manufacturer of complicated watches, perhaps the best example of this being the Three Gold Bridge Tourbillon which was awarded the gold medal at the Universal Exhibitions of Paris in 1889, but was declared ineligible in 1901 because it was too perfect and could not be equaled. Constant Girard was commissioned to make wristwatches by Emperor Wilhelm I of Germany for his Imperial Navy. Two thousand were made and it was the first large-scale production of wristwatches in history, but it would not be until almost 50 years later that wristwatches would exceed the sales of pocket watches. In 1992, Italian entrepreneur, architect, and former racing driver, Luigi Macaluso, took over G-P. He signed a co-branding agreement with Ferrari and they created a limited series of split-seconds chronographs. Since then, G-P has become synonymous with sports cars and racing. G-P has a variety of well-known watches to choose from. Looking for a nice classic dress watch? The Vintage 1945 and Richeville models are reminiscent of a classic era gone by. Perhaps you want something sporty? Their Laureato sports model is just one to choose from. Many people consider pre-owned Gerard Perregaux watches, used Gerard Perregaux watches & second hand Gerard Perregaux watches all the same, but a Gray & Sons Gerard Perregaux watch is something different altogether. All our watches are serviced and polished to like new condition and come with our twelve month warranty and Like New for Life policy. Our after sales service commitment is second to none in the world, backed by our six in house Swiss-trained watchmakers and jewelers.
